RESEARCH: Synopsys allows FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH, which can be defined as basic and applied research in science and engineering, the results of which ordinarily are published and shared broadly within the scientific community, as distinguished from proprietary research and from industrial development, design, production, and product utilization, the results of which ordinarily are restricted for proprietary or national security reasons.
AVAILABILITY: Synopsys is available on Linux computers in EH B555, EH 2324, and 1410 Engineering Dr. room 121 as well as by remoting into a CAE Linux lab machine. Instructions for remote access to a Linux machine can be found here: https://kb.wisc.edu/cae/106117. Synopsys is not available on Windows.
